Indonesia is a country located in South East Asia, in
between 2 oceans (Indian and Pacific) dan 2 continents (Asia and Oceania).
Indonesia is bordered by Malaysia and Singapore in the
north, Indian Ocean in the west, Papua New Guinea in the East, and the Indian
Ocean and Australia in the south. Geographically, Indonesia at
coordinates 6 ° N - 11 ° S and from 95 ° E - 141 ° E.
Indonesia is the largest
archipelago in the world, with - + 5,180,053 km2 wide area which makes has 3 time
zones (UTC+7, +8, +9) and has
more than 17000 islands are divided
into 34 provinces.
Indonesia is a unitary state form, and the form of
government is Republic, led by a President.
Indonesia’s flag is "Merah Putih" (Red and White)
meaningful Courage (red) and Purity (white).
Indonesian state symbol is the Garuda Pancasila, a Garuda
(bird) which has 17 feathers on each wing, 8 feathers in the tail, 19 under the
shield (base of tail), and 45 in the neck, where it is based on Indonesia's
independence date August 17th, 1945. And also Garuda has a shield on the chest
that symbolizes "Pancasila ", the Indonesia’s basic rules. Garuda’s
feet gripping a ribbon bearing the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" (Unity
in Diversity).
Indonesia has a national anthem titled "Indonesia
Raya", created by Wage Rudolf Soepratman. Was first performed when 2nd
Youth Congress on October 28, 1928.
Bahasa Indonesia is the formal language, but each ethnic has its own language that they
speak often in
daily life.
And last, Indonesia has currency called Rupiah.
